The leaves are changing and harvest time is upon us! Last week we went out to Buckley Community School and harvested loads of fresh produce including end of season tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, onion, cucumber, and many types of squash. Thanks to Ms. Kirpatrick’s class for their work!

The next day we partnered with Taste the Local Difference to host a pop-up farmers market at Buckley. We prepared two kinds of squash from the garden harvest for the kids to taste during the market. Spaghetti Squash with herbs ended up as the favorite! Along with a taste test kids got to shop for a variety of vegetables, pumpkins, apples, jams, handmade totes, and roll your own beeswax candles.

“I’m not gonna taste the squash, you know why, because I love squash so much I won’t be able to stop eating it”  – Buckley Elementary Student

These couple days at Buckley sure had us excited for more fun in fall!
